Lockdown So Far :)

If you don't know Auckland is in lock down and it was my brother, Oscars. It was really fun to hangout with my family. We had a really yummy BBQ and ate some cake. We all had a good time. We could go anywhere because how it is lock down. But I heard that after lock down we are going to Rainbows End. I am so excited to go Rainbows End when Lock Down is finished. How is your lock down going so far !!!!

Dear Life 

You mean alot to me! Without you I wouldn't have all those great memories and meet all these amazing people in my life right now. I am Thankful, I am Grateful and I am  honored to be blessed with this life There's been times when I thought you were worthless but I changed my lifestyle and I know why you are so important to me.

People always used you for granted, but this year I think everyone will know the true purpose of life. We’re trying our best to change and think positively! All these hard times are reminding us to be appreciative of life and not to spend it with hate, whining, being a coward and instead to fulfill our life with astonishing memories. 

1. Thank you LIFE for giving me another day to live. No one knows when tomorrow will ever come but I am blessed and lucky I have time to spend with my friends and family.

2. Thank you for my HEALTH. Many people have been dying and suffering from the deadly Invisible virus called CoronaVirus, which has entered our world with no permission. I am trying to make better decisions during this virus around the world. Live a healthy life.

3. Thank you GLEN TAYLOR SCHOOL for making me feel like home when I started; for all the people who helped me build up my confidence and Mrs Tupou Fonua,  from the other terms in your classroom. All the students and the teachers made me feel like home and turned me into a better learning student when I came to the Seniors. Thank you!!

4. Thank you to EVERYONE in my life: family, friends, teacher Mrs Tupou Founa and my Room 11 classmates. I AM WHO I AM BECAUSE OF YOU GUYS!!!

5. Last of all, Thank you HARD TIMES. You made me cry. You made me hate myself sometimes but then at the end of the day, YOU MADE ME MADE ME STRONGER, THAN BEFORE!!!!!

Cycle Safety

 On Monday 16th August room 11 did a cycle safety and it was really fun. We learnt how to put the helmet on safetly so if we do fall of the bike and hit our head, the helmet will get hit. Then after we put our helmet on we were told to try and blance on the bike without padiling. It was kind of challeging but i still tryed. After we all had a turn we got to ride a around the bike track. It was really refreshing and cool. Then when we all finshed we put the bikes away and went to class for our lesson on the get wise ASB people.

We all had a great time :)

Height And Spam Tech Tamaki

 Today at Tech we done a height and Spam Activity at Tamaki College. We had to measure our height and our spam which is our hands but when your thumb and pinkie are wide out. It was really fun because we got to see who was taller and who was shorter. The only thing I didn't like was when I had to measure my hand/spam, it was sore because i had to strech my pinkie and my thumb but it was still fun. After we done our work my group/ team got a treat. 

Olympic Fun Zone

 On Monday 2nd 2021 the seinors went to the Olympic Fun Zone. We did lots of different activities that Olympians do but for kids, but before we done the activities we were talking to a Olympian and her name was Alexis Pritchard. Alexis Pritchard is a Commonwealth Games bronze medallist and the first NZ woman boxer to win an Olympic bout. She now empowers people to live courageously as a mindset and performance coach. It was my fist time meeting a Olympian in real life. It was so fun.

Hibiscus Flower Experiment

Today at we went to tech and we done a hibiscus flower experiment and it was fun. 

We cut it in to two part and we saw a ovary, anther and sepals. The thing I liked at tech today was that we got about 2-3 little bits of pollen from the flower and smashed it, then we put water on the crushed pollen and put it under the microscope, it looked like the yoke of an egg. The thing I didnt really like was that when we had to wait for the teacher to talk but all the things he told us was very interesting. 

Kawau Island Camp Bentzont

 This Term Room 11, 12 and 13 went to Kawau Island Camp Benzent on Monday 24th - Friday 28th of May. We done lots of activities like Kaykaing, Abseiling, Sailing, Rock Climing, Hiking, Raft Building and we done a Confidence Coures. If you are wondering what a confidence coures is, it is different kinds of coures that you have to try. like the monkey bars and much more stuff.

We had so much fun because we got to swim and kayka in the afternoons. We had really yummy Breakfast, lunch, and dinners that some teachers made. I really wanted to stay there for somemore days.

Trip To Maritime Museum

 

 

On Monday 12th April the Seniors went to a trip to the Maritime Museum and it was super fun. We went there to learn some of the history of the Waka called Waka Hourua. The People long ago that use to go on the Waka used the Waka to go to Tongan, Samoan, New Zealand and more!!! When we finshed eating morning tea, room 11 was really lucky because we got to on the Waka first. Some of us said it was our first time on the Waka. After about 45 minutes we went back into the room we started in and talked about the star compest, the Waka and even more, and we got to make little waka's too. It was intersting and fun. Then when we finshed the little lesson we went to a little thertre room and we watch a little movie in the room about people traveling around the Pacifc Ocean trying to find more island witch they did. The little movie was cool but sad at the same time because a little boy had a pig pet and when a huge wave hit them, the pig got stuck in the ocean and started to drown. 

Once my class room 11 finshed watching the little movie we got a little book for a treasure hunt and it was really hard but when we left we only needed to find one more thing but at least we had an awsome day on Monday 12th April. I hope we go there next time for a school trip. 

My Favouite part their was the little movie room 11 watched and going on the Waka.

The Lost Boat Animation

Making Chocolate Hedgehog Slice :)

 

Hello everyone, in Room 11 we made some yummy chocolate hedgehog slices for a little easter treat. It was really fun to make with my teacher, Miss Tupou and my classmates. We had to get our own things to make the chocolate slice like a chocolate king size and plain buscuits, but I wanted to be nice so i got all the things but I told one of my buddys to get something. I hope you guys would make this and if are intrested you can look at my slide at the bottom of this post. I hope you guys like the slide :)))
